Bluyonder voices #3 – next generation teachers

In case you haven’t marked it on your calendar, October the 27th is World Teacher’s Day. It is often easy to dismiss these UNESCO events, however Friday is an opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution teachers make to the lives of students, their communities and society.

As I’ve said before, we have never needed good teachers more than we do in this rapidly changing world. In this month’s podcast of bluyonder voices, I chat with a teacher who is at the start of their professional journey. Elena Stivactas represents the future of the profession – the next generation of teachers who also happens to be working at a next generation school – St Lukes Catholic College, Marsden Park.
