Ken Robinson on purpose

In this clip, Ken Robinson talks about the moral purpose of schooling.  For me, the questions are what should influence our understanding of learning and teaching; how do we change our practice/thinking to meet our moral obligations to all learners?

  1. Hi Greg,

Thanks for posting the link to this – I wasn’t aware that his 2010 speech for TED had become available yet!

Nice to see that Sir Ken’s comments are still both relevant and prescient. Let’s hope that teacher creativity really surfaces somewhere on the agenda of the new national curriculum. It’s the really creative and passionate teachers who make the difference, and ken has it in a nutshell when he says “it’s who I am.”

    Cheers,

    M
